TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing tickets as by doing so, you accept that these terms and conditions will govern all Contracts.

Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.

PURCHASING TICKETS

If you choose to purchase Tickets from Manor Operatic Society:

 

  • By accepting your order a legally binding contract between Manor Operatic Society and you is created. This contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law, and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes.

  • By placing your order you warrant that all details you provide to us for the purpose of booking, ordering or purchasing goods or services are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the ticket or service. If there are any changes to the details supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform us.

  • Manor Operatic Society reserves the right to alter or vary the advertised programme, including cast, running times, and such other matters without prior notice or without being obliged to refund monies or change tickets.

  • Tickets purchased or reserved for our shows cannot be resold for commercial gain. Manor Operatic Society reserves the rights to cancel any tickets that are being sold by unauthorised third-parties.

  • All tickets are subject to availability. Manor Operatic Society reserves the right to change or limit the number of tickets available for sale at any time.

  • Ticket prices in print may be subject to change at any time, if you need to clarify current prices please call 07533 021 407.

  • Confirmation of receipt of your order by e-mail may not guarantee the ticket sale, please ensure you have actual tickets.

  • It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure tickets in their possession are for the correct date and time; please check your ticket carefully as mistakes cannot be rectified after the event. Customers attempting to use tickets for an incorrect date or time will not be admitted.

  • Bookings made via telephone, online or in person may be subject to a fee.

  • Bookings made within 14 days of the performance will only be available for email tickets.

  • Subject to proof and at the discretion of the Box Office lost tickets will be replaced free of charge.

     

TICKET REFUND AND EXCHANGES

  • Manor Operatic Society will not refund Tickets after purchase, unless under exceptional circumstances at management’s discretion.

  • Tickets may be exchanged for later performances of the same production, subject to availability and at management discretion. To exchange tickets please call 07533 021 407 or send us an email at least 24 hours before the date and time on your ticket.

  • On purchasing a ticket, you agree to follow the current Covid-19 guidance at the time of performance. This may be laid out by the government or by the venue itself. If you choose not to to follow the current guidelines, you may be turned away from the venue and will not be refunded.

  • On purchasing a ticket, you commit to not attend the event if you have any symptoms attributable to Covid-19. If you cannot attend, we may be able to exchange your tickets for another performance, please contact us by email before the date and time on your tickets.

  • If you choose not to attend the event for any reason, you will not be refunded.

  • Where a performance or event is cancelled by Manor Operatic Society will refund to you the value of the Tickets purchased (excluding any admin, booking or transaction fees). Manor Operatic Society will issue a refund to you using the same method of payment that you used to purchase the Tickets.

  • In case of a performance or event cancellation, Manor Operatic Society will notify ticket holders of with reasonable endeavors. However, we cannot guarantee that ticket holders will be informed before the date of the performance due to circumstances beyond our control.

  • If a performance or event is rescheduled then ticket holders may be offered an equivalent value ticket of their original purchase for the new dates. If they cannot make the new dates, ticket holders will be entitled to a refund or exchange for the face value of the tickets purchased.

  • Manor Operatic Society shall have no liability to you for any damage, defect or loss arising from any events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes failure to deliver or supply tickets or other goods or services you have ordered, any delay in doing so, or for any failure to commence or complete any performance.
     

YOUNGER AUDIENCES

  • Any published advice about age suitability for any performances is offered as a guide. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to determine the suitability for their child.

  • Babies and children under 2 are welcome and may share a seat with you. If they require their own seat then the normal concession rate will apply.

  • For reasons of Safeguarding, all children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18+) at all times.
     

SAFETY & ENJOYMENT

  • Manor Operatic Society (along with the venue) takes safety very seriously and reserves the right to implement additional security measures such as bag checks as and when necessary. Lasers/knives/sharp items/fireworks/flares/smoke bombs/any items which could be used as a weapon will be confiscated and may result in admission being refused.

  • Manor Operatic Society reserves the right to refuse admission to ensure the safety and enjoyment of its members, staff, venue staff and other customers, and reserves the right to terminate your permission to be on the premises and remove you therefrom in similar circumstances.

  • To be admitted you must be in possession of a valid Ticket; incorrect, defaced or damaged tickets may not be accepted.

  • Photography and video/sound recording as well as the use of mobile phones and other digital equipment in the auditoriums are strictly prohibited and patrons who break this condition or cause any kind of disturbance may be required to leave immediately.

  • To avoid disturbing the audience and performers, latecomers and customers requiring re-entry, may not be allowed access to the auditorium until a suitable point in the performance, which may not be until the interval.

  • Smoking including e-cigarettes or vaping is not permitted inside the venue.

  • Manor Operatic Society cannot be held responsible for any personal property left unattended.

  • Manor Operatic Society and any authorised parties may occasionally film or take photographs during performances for promotional purposes, or to used within the performance itself. 

  • During our performances special effects may be used, these can include but are not limited to; fire, smoke, dry ice, pyrotechnics, loud bangs and UV lighting.

  • During the pantomime there are some elements of audience interaction and participation, these can include but are not limited to; dough being thrown into the audience, audience members being 'custard pied', foam effects, water effects, confetti, streamers and children being given gifts (including wrapped and labelled foodstuffs, please check the ingredients for allergies before allowing anyone to consume them)
