March 2021 Update

Following the latest government announcement, we feel we cannot go ahead with our May 2021 musical.

We are however hoping that we can bring you Snow White for our 2021/22 Pantomime.

This isn't confirmed and tickets are not yet on sale, but we hope to be able to move forward in line with the new government Roadmap. This is subject to change to keep in-line with any new guidance or social distancing measures.

August 2020 Update

We have had to come to the very difficult decision to cancel our 2020/2021 Pantomime ‘Snow White.’

We have left it as long as we could hoping that things would take a dramatic return to some sort of normality to enable us to do what we all love for the people of South Yorkshire and beyond but, having picked apart the government’s guidelines and recommendations we feel that we could not rehearse whilst social distancing or produce a production to the high standards that you, our audience, have come to expect and deserve.

It goes without saying that the safety and well-being of our company and audience is the most important thing.

Manor Operatic Society has performed Pantomimes at Sheffield City Hall for the last 33 years and this is the first time we have had to cancel a whole run despite overcoming heavy snowfalls, fire and flood over the years!

Our cast and company are heartbroken that they cannot perform for you this year due to the ongoing C19 restrictions. We hope and pray we can return with a fantastic musical in May 2021 and will keep you updated with any information on this.

Meanwhile, the team will be working hard to put something together for you to enjoy online around the festive period, please keep an eye on our Facebook and website for details and keep singing “Tiddly Winky Woo!”

We do hope you all keep safe and well and look forward to seeing you all very soon!

Thanks, MOS

March 2020 Update

It is with a very heavy heart that we have to inform you that our 2020 production of Oliver is cancelled. We are all witnessing unprecedented times and the safety and wellbeing of everyone is our primary concern. SIV have announced the closure of the Sheffield City Hall until further notice following the government’s directive.

We pride ourselves on the extremely high standard of our productions and these are achieved through months and months of intense rehearsals and preparation. As we’re sure you will all appreciate due to the ban on mass gatherings, social distancing, self-isolation and now a lockdown these rehearsals cannot take place. We are all so desperately disappointed that we will not be performing this wonderful show and our hearts go out to everyone connected with our production.

With regards to refunds, this is a first-time experience for us and we would ask for your patience with this.  Anyone who has paid with valid cards will be automatically refunded. Any expired cards or cash transactions will be processed as soon as the Sheffield City Hall box office re-opens.

If you have any queries please contact City Hall box office as refunds will be made directly by them. The way customers can contact the box office at the moment is via email to BoxOffice@sheffieldcityhall.co.uk

Or via City Hall Facebook and Twitter - Unfortunately telephone lines are now closed.

Again we must reiterate that these are unprecedented times and Sheffield City Hall would appreciate your patience and understanding at this very difficult time.

Once again we are so sorry to bring this sad news but we hope you understand the situation. We also hope you all remain safe and well and look forward to seeing you at Snow White in December/January or one of our future productions.

Regards

The MOS Management Team.
