CHARLIE AUDITIONS

All our auditions are held at our studios: 27 Walker Street S3 8GZ. There is limited metered parking on Walker Street and a small metered car park to the side. We anticipate it being very busy on audition day so please either leave your car at home or make sure you have plenty of time to park.
CHILDREN WILL NEED TO BE CHAPERONED BY AN ADULT IN THE BUILDING AT ALL TIMES
Adults will not be allowed into the audition room (where we will provide registered chaperones) however you will need to be with your child in the waiting area at all times.
There will be three parts to the initial audition process:

Dance auditions. Choreography will be taught on the day and there is nothing to prepare.

Singing auditions. The song will be taught on the day and there is nothing to prepare. However please feel free to click here and have a listen to Willy Wonka! as the singing audition will be a short excerpt from this song.

Script auditions. We will provide script on arrival and allow time for your child to look at it, they do not need to learn it.
We may make cuts throughout the day and may then ask your child to stay again for further call-backs, this may consist of dance, vocal or script. We anticipate a finish time no later than 6pm this may be subject to change and we will update you throughout the day.
If your child is successful they will then be invited to join the cast of Charlie and the Chocolate factory and will be required at the first rehearsal on Thurs 23rd Jan at 7:30pm. Normal rehearsal days are Wed, Thu & Sun 7:30pm - 10:00pm. Not all cast members will be required at all rehearsals, but your child will be expected to attend all rehearsals that they are called for and should leave these days free each week, from 23nd Jan until 17th May 2025. Exceptions may be made in some circumstances - but this will need to be agreed in advance with the production team, please make us aware of any rehearsal days your child cannot attend at the audition.
You also need to be available all evenings and from 12pm on Saturday for show week - 14th to 17th May 2025.
